This Sancerre Rouge made from Pinot Noir by Vincent Pinard displays an immediate, refined profile. In the glass it shows a transparent ruby color and a subtle aromatic texture: crisp red fruits, notes of cherry and raspberry, a floral hint and a slight earthy nuance that adds character without weighing it down. The impression is one of balance: lively acidity and a savory minerality that support a medium-light body, with fine, well-integrated tannins that keep the sip smooth and enjoyable.

On the palate it confirms the elegant simplicity of Pinot Noir, with an agile progression and a fresh persistence that invites a second glass. It’s versatile at the table: it gracefully accompanies white meats, mushroom-based dishes, more flavorful fish plates and soft cheeses; excellent served slightly chilled. Perfect for those seeking a wine with unobtrusive character, suited to informal dinners and convivial moments where the clean clarity of each sip is appreciated.

White and red/rosé wines with various vinification methods and aging.
Winery history
The Pinard family has been rooted in the village of Bué for many generations; the family's modern viticultural activities are documented from the early 20th century. In the postwar period Charles Pinard revived the estate, and later Vincent and his wife Colette expanded it by acquiring relatives' vineyards and consolidating production to its present scale. Today the estate is run by the next generation, which has developed a range of single-vineyard cuvées.
Production philosophy
Priority is given to the vineyard: precise work in the vines to express each terroir, with practices oriented toward organic and biodynamic farming. In the cellar, indigenous yeasts are preferred, intervention is minimal, wood is used sparingly, and sulfites are reduced to highlight the agronomic character of the grapes.
Terroir and vineyards
The domaine is based in Bué, in the Sancerre area of the Loire Valley. The vineyards include parcels on various limestone soils — including outcrops of Kimmeridgian and Oxfordian limestone — and encompass lieux-dits such as Chêne Marchand, Grand Chemarin, Petit Chemarin and Les Créots; the fragmentation into many parcels produces distinctive, site-specific cuvées.
