The Sancerre Blanc Chêne Marchand by Vincent Pinard is an excellence among the white wines of the Loire Valley. Produced in France, this wine is made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, hand-harvested from old vines growing in one of the most prestigious terroirs of Sancerre.

The limestone-rich soil imparts a distinct minerality and remarkable complexity to the wine. After fermentation, the wine is aged in old oak barrels, adding hints of vanilla and light spices without overpowering the fruit's freshness.

With a brilliant straw-yellow color, the Sancerre Blanc Chêne Marchand offers an intense and lively aroma, featuring notes of citrus, white-fleshed fruit, and a floral touch, complemented by a well-defined mineral undertone. On the palate, it is elegantly balanced, with vibrant acidic freshness leading to a long and persistent finish.

Perfect as an aperitif, this wine also pairs beautifully with seafood, scallops, goat cheeses, and fish dishes. A wine that expresses the unique terroir of Chêne Marchand and showcases Vincent Pinard's artisanal skill in creating high-quality white wines.

Winery history
The Pinard family has been rooted in the village of Bué for many generations; the family's modern viticultural activities are documented from the early 20th century. In the postwar period Charles Pinard revived the estate, and later Vincent and his wife Colette expanded it by acquiring relatives' vineyards and consolidating production to its present scale. Today the estate is run by the next generation, which has developed a range of single-vineyard cuvées.
Production philosophy
Priority is given to the vineyard: precise work in the vines to express each terroir, with practices oriented toward organic and biodynamic farming. In the cellar, indigenous yeasts are preferred, intervention is minimal, wood is used sparingly, and sulfites are reduced to highlight the agronomic character of the grapes.
Terroir and vineyards
The domaine is based in Bué, in the Sancerre area of the Loire Valley. The vineyards include parcels on various limestone soils — including outcrops of Kimmeridgian and Oxfordian limestone — and encompass lieux-dits such as Chêne Marchand, Grand Chemarin, Petit Chemarin and Les Créots; the fragmentation into many parcels produces distinctive, site-specific cuvées.
