Pairing Pasta and meat dishes from Romagna cuisine
The Sangiovese Superiore DOC "Sprugnolo" from Valle delle Lepri is a red wine of restrained, elegant character. In the glass it shows a medium ruby color and an aromatic profile focused on ripe red fruits, cherry and plum, with light earthy notes and hints of undergrowth herbs. On the nose there are also nuances of rose petal and a discreet mineral note that add liveliness. The palate balances freshness and fine tannins, with a medium-bodied structure and pleasant, not excessive persistence. Overall it suggests precision and drinkability rather than opulence.

It pairs with everyday traditional dishes: tomato-based pasta, white and light red meats, cured meats and semi-aged cheeses. Serve at about 16–18°C in a wide glass to encourage aromatic openness. Suitable for current drinking but can hold a few years if stored carefully; for those seeking immediacy it offers an accessible and satisfying drinkability.
