The story
Le terre di Vistorta have been associated with the Brandolini family for centuries; different sources report divergent historical origins. In the 20th century, Brandino Brandolini d'Adda led efforts to enhance the vineyards — particularly Merlot — and to modernize cellar operations. In the 2000s the estate began converting to organic farming, with production certified following the conversion.
Production philosophy
Terroir-driven production: parcel-by-parcel vineyard care, minimal intervention in the cellar, use of selected indigenous yeasts and sustainable agronomic practices. Strong focus on Merlot as the defining grape of Vistorta, complemented by the white wines typical of Friuli.
Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards grow on predominantly sandy/gravelly and clay soils, with a microclimate characterized by breezy summers; the estate comprises several plots distributed over small parcels with varying exposures.
