The Sauvignon DOC of Le Vigne di Zamò is born from carefully cultivated Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in vineyards located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, an area known for its winemaking tradition and ideal climate that enhances the aromatic expression of the grape variety. This wine stands out for its vibrant freshness and intense aromas ranging from herbaceous notes to tropical fruit and citrus, enriched by a pleasant mineral vein typical of the local soil.

The aging takes place mainly in stainless steel to preserve the aromatic purity and taste balance, where a lively acidity and a lean yet enveloping structure emerge. On the palate, it reveals itself as harmonious, fresh, and persistent, with an elegant finish that invites another sip.

Perfect paired with fish dishes, shellfish, and fresh cheeses, the Sauvignon DOC of Le Vigne di Zamò is an authentic expression of the Friulian territory that captivates with immediacy and finesse.

Winery history
The family history dates back to 1924; the winery’s modern era began when Tullio Zamò purchased vineyards in the 1970s and developed with the involvement of his sons Pierluigi and Silvano. Over the years parcels have been acquired or leased on the hills of Rocca Bernarda, Buttrio and Rosazzo. Notable milestones include the arrival of technical and commercial professionals and significant recognitions for labels such as Ronco dei Roseti. Since 2010 a partnership with Oscar Farinetti has also been mentioned; the first certified organic harvest was celebrated in 2021.
Production philosophy
Production aims to respect natural rhythms and the expressiveness of the land: vineyard practices oriented toward natural methods and careful handling of the grapes at the winery to showcase the native varieties and the estate’s crus. The winery declares a commitment to sustainability, evidenced by organic certification obtained with the 2021 harvest.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the hills of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, particularly in the terroirs of Rosazzo, Buttrio and Rocca Bernarda. Rosazzo is described as a hill with a notable diurnal temperature range and favorable exposure, on marine-derived soils rich in mineral elements.
Awards and recognitions
Among the cited recognitions are the Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso for Ronco dei Roseti and mentions of awards and recognitions in specialized wine guides.
