The Cum Laude from Tenuta Banfi is a Toscana IGT wine that expresses with elegant intensity the straightforward and enveloping character of Sangiovese, the beating heart of this label. Coming from selected vineyards in the hills of Siena, this magnum encapsulates the essence of a dedicated territory, where the Mediterranean climate and the calcareous clay soil promote optimal ripening. The aging in oak barrels gives the wine a soft and well-integrated tannic texture, accompanied by elegant notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and light toasted hints. In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red color and a complex bouquet, capable of revealing floral and mineral nuances. Perfect to accompany red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses, the Cum Laude stands out for its harmonious structure and gustatory persistence, a testament to the winemaking art of Banfi and the richness of the Tuscan landscape.

Winery history
Cantina Santi was founded as a winery in Illasi and has been present in Valpolicella since the 19th century. During the 20th century the Santi family introduced technical innovations and progressively focused on high-end wines; in 1974 the winery became part of Gruppo Italiano Vini, which reinforced investments and facilities while preserving its local identity.
Production philosophy
Santi claims a style tied to the sense of place of Valpolicella: it favors the predominant use of Corvina in its selections, aging in large traditional casks, and the use of local woods to enhance the aromatic qualities typical of native grape varieties. The approach combines oenological research with respect for local practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Santi's vineyards and selections are concentrated in Val d'Illasi and the classic areas of Valpolicella, using a vineyard-selection approach across different exposures and microclimates to produce wines that reflect the local terroir. The winery also works with vineyards in other Veronese appellations such as Soave, Bardolino and Lugana.
