The Valtellina Superiore DOCG Inferno - Nino Negri is an exaltation of the particularity and intensity offered by the "Inferno" sub-area of Valtellina Superiore, a denomination that owes its name to the extreme cultivation conditions, characterized by steep terraced slopes exposed to heat, which recreate an "infernally" hot microclimate. This area, famous for its ability to produce Nebbiolo, or Chiavennasca, grapes of exceptional quality, allows the Nino Negri winery, a pillar of Valtellina viticulture with over a century of history, to express the richness and complexity of this terroir through wine unique.

Visually, the wine presents itself with a lively garnet red color, which anticipates the depth of the tasting experience. On the nose, the bouquet is an intricate mix of aromas, with dominant notes of berries, cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of violet, spices and a light hint of tobacco and leather, a sign of the aging in wood which adds layers of complexity without overpowering the freshness and purity of the fruit.

In the mouth it demonstrates an impeccable balance between structure and elegance. The tannins are finely smooth and integrated perfectly with an acidity that gives liveliness and freshness to the sip. The palate is enveloped in flavors consistent with the nose, evolving towards a long and persistent finish, which leaves a pleasantly spicy and mineral aftertaste, testimony to the unique terroir from which the wine originates.

This Valtellina Superiore is perfectly suited to accompanying robust and tasty dishes, such as grilled red meats, stews, game dishes and mature cheeses. Its complexity also makes it an excellent candidate for meditative tasting, offering a continuous evolution in the glass that enchants and surprises the enthusiast.
