This wine is an excellent expression of the unique terroir of Chateau Tire Pe. The Vdf L’Échappée is a red wine that showcases mastery in winemaking, emphasizing the varietal characteristics of the grapes used. With an intense ruby color, the nose presents a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, spicy notes, and a slight touch of vanilla, stemming from an expert aging in wood.

On the palate, the wine is robust yet balanced, with soft tannins harmoniously blending with fresh acidity, making each sip pleasantly persistent. It pairs excellently with red meat dishes, aged cheeses, or dishes rich in intense flavors.

Château Tire Pé – Winery in Entre-Deux-Mers (Bordeaux)

Discover the story and wines of Château Tire Pé.

Small organic winery in the Entre-Deux-Mers (Bordeaux) working on clay-limestone soils and producing several cuvées, including expressions with ancestral grape varieties and references to low-intervention winemaking.
Region: Entre-Deux-Mers (Bordeaux)
Country: Francia
Grapes: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Castets, Mancin des Palus, Pineau d'Aunis
Domaine of approximately 6 hectares of vineyard on clay-limestone soils. In conversion to organic production since 2008; Ecocert certified since 2014. I work with traditional and 'ancestral' grape varieties, also aged in terracotta jars. A range of low‑SO2 vinifications with at least one cuvée with no added sulfites; includes a 'blanc de noir' called Chant Blanc. Visits and tastings by appointment; based in Gironde-sur-Dropt.
Winery history
David B. and Hélène settled on the Tire Pé promontory in August 1997. Since then the property has grown into a small family estate near La Réole, developing vineyards, woodlands and farmland. The site tells the family's personal story, life on the estate and the gradual development of the various cuvées.
Production philosophy
The approach prioritizes a close connection to the land, respects natural cycles and keeps cellar interventions to a minimum: gentle vinification, low levels of sulfites in most cuvées, and a commitment to showcasing the typicity, authenticity and biodiversity of the area.
Terroir and vineyards
Located southeast of Entre-Deux-Mers, the estate sits on clay-limestone slopes overlooking the Dropt valley. Adjacent to the vineyards, the estate comprises woodlands, meadows and fruit trees planted to support biodiversity.
