The Vin Santo del Chianti Classico in 375ml format from Badia a Coltibuono is an example of extraordinary elegance and complexity, representing one of the highest expressions of this traditional type of Tuscan sweet wine. Produced following ancient methods, this Vin Santo is the result of the passion and experience of Badia a Coltibuono, a historic winery that preserves and enhances the wine heritage of Chianti Classico.

Vin Santo is obtained from Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia del Chianti grapes, carefully selected and left to dry on racks until the beginning of the year following the harvest. This process concentrates the sugars and aromas, preparing the grapes for slow fermentation and long aging in small wooden barrels, called caratelli, where the wine develops its rich aromatic palette and characteristic balance between sweetness and acidity.

The 375ml format is perfect for enjoying the Vin Santo del Chianti Classico from Badia a Coltibuono on special occasions, offering the ideal quantity to share the unique experience of this wine with friends or family.

Visually, Vin Santo presents itself with an intense and brilliant amber color, a prelude to its richness and intensity. On the nose, it reveals a complex and enveloping bouquet, with notes of dried fruit, such as apricots and figs, honey, caramel and nuances of sweet spices, enriched by touches of vanilla and toasted almond, the result of aging in wood.

In the mouth, the wine expresses a sublime harmony between sweetness and freshness, with flavors that faithfully reflect the olfactory sensations and are enriched with a pleasant acid vein that balances the sweetness and prolongs the finish. The texture is velvety and rich, with exceptional persistence that leaves a long-lasting and satisfying impression.

Ideal as a meditation wine or paired with mature cheeses, foie gras and traditional Tuscan desserts, in particular with cantucci, the Vin Santo del Chianti Classico from Badia a Coltibuono is an oenological treasure that offers a sensorial journey through history and traditions of Tuscany, celebrating the art of winemaking in one of its most fascinating and appreciated forms.

Winery history
The estate is the former Abbey of San Lorenzo a Coltibuono, whose documented origins date back to the 11th century. Over the centuries the property has maintained its connection to local viticulture; in the twentieth century family management helped consolidate the production of wine and olive oil and opened the Abbey to hospitality and the promotion of Tuscan cuisine.
Production philosophy
It practices organic farming with attention to biodiversity, the soil and workers' health. The wine is conceived as the fruit of vineyard work. In the winery, techniques that respect the integrity of the grapes are favored, such as fermentation with indigenous yeasts and the use of gravity-flow winemaking principles.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are concentrated in the Monti in Chianti area on clay-limestone soils. The vineyards mentioned in the product sheets include crus and parcels such as Montebello, Poggino, Vignone and Argenina; the estate overlooks the Arno valley and includes estate-owned olive groves and woodlands.
