The Viognier Costa Toscana IGT àuricA from Folonari shows a lively straw-yellow color with golden highlights. On the nose it offers a fragrant bouquet of white-fleshed fruit and white flowers, with light notes of peach and apricot that reflect the varietal’s aromatic-floral freshness. On the palate it is soft and medium-bodied, with a clear fruit presence and a balance between acidity and minerality that supports the finish. The alcohol level is noticeable but integrated into the flavor profile, without excess.

It works well as an aperitif wine and pairs easily with seafood starters, fish dishes and delicate white meats; it also suits vegetable-based vegetarian dishes and fresh cheeses. Recommended serving temperature is cool, around 10–12 °C, in wide glasses to enhance the aromas. This label is aimed at pleasant, easy drinking.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
