The Laphroaig Select Whisky, presented in an elegant 70cl bottle enclosed in its characteristic tube, is a sophisticated expression of Scottish distilling art directly from the Isle of Islay. This whisky stands out for its unique selection of barrels used during maturation, including new American Oak barrels, Pedro Ximenez sherry, quarter casks, and first-fill Bourbon. The result is a richly complex and harmonious liquid.
Visually, Laphroaig Select presents a light amber color. On the nose, it exudes a penetrating aroma with distinctive peat notes mixed with the subtle sweetness typical of vanilla and spices. On the palate, it reveals a well-balanced structure: the peat smoke intertwines skillfully with flavors of dried fruit and a slight hint of nutmeg. The finish is long and persistent, characterized by a delicate smokiness that leaves a memorable impression on the palate.
This whisky lends itself magnificently both to being enjoyed on its own, to reveal every nuance of its character, and as a base for cocktails that require an intense and well-defined aromatic profile. Laphroaig Select is certainly a privileged choice for Single Malt whisky lovers.

Distillation
Double distillation in copper pot stills (pot still); the plant comprises seven stills (3 wash, 4 spirit) with high lyne arms and cut points designed to preserve tarry and maritime notes.
Ageing
Maturation in oak casks in coastal warehouses; seasonal variation (expansion in summer, contraction in winter) promotes interaction between wood and spirit. Frequent use of ex-bourbon for the base with finishes or re-racking in different wood types for specific expressions.
