Made with a base of malted barley, the Kavalan Port Cask Finish offers a wide and enveloping bouquet, where ripe pineapples, notes of red fruits, and a delicate caramelized sweetness given by the contact with port blend together. The aging in Port casks gives a soft structure, enriched by hints of sweet spices, vanilla, and a light touch of dark chocolate, evolving into a persistent and velvety finish.
Perfect to enjoy neat to capture all its nuances, it pairs successfully with chocolate-based desserts or aged cheeses. This whisky is an excellent example of Kavalan’s talent in reinterpreting classic aging techniques, making the most of the Portuguese wine heritage with Taiwanese innovation and passion.
