Winery history Antica Fratta

The estate has historical origins: in the second half of the 19th century Luigi Rossetti converted a residence in Fratta, creating cellars carved into the rock. In the 1970s/1979 the property was relaunched as a modern winemaking project by Franco Ziliani, who began selecting the vineyards and orienting production toward quality Franciacorta.

Production philosophy

The estate emphasizes dividing its vineyards into parcels and combining different base wines to achieve balance and longevity: grape selection, controlled yields, aging on the lees, and the use of reserve wines for blends are central elements of its approach.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in Monticelli Brusati, in the heart of Franciacorta, the winery farms vineyards on the morainic amphitheatre with varied exposures and soils that contribute to the complexity of the base wines for Franciacorta.

Awards and recognitions

The winery's wines have received positive reviews and high scores from guides such as Falstaff.
