Winery Franchetti

The Franchetti project brings together the wine productions associated with the Franchetti family, best known for their work on the slopes of Etna, where Andrea Franchetti reclaimed and replanted vineyards on abandoned terraces in the early 2000s. The group also includes Tenuta di Trinoro, with a parallel history of quality-driven research in premium vineyards.

Wines focused on the terroir yet interpreted through precise viticultural and blending choices: surgical vineyard interventions, experimentation with grape varieties and targeted winemaking to express both the identity of the soil and a producer’s vision for premium labels.

The main productions cited online include the volcanic vineyards of Etna and the vineyards of the Val d’Orcia/Tuscany area. Etna wines are produced on volcanic soils rich in ash and lava rock; Tenuta di Trinoro works with blends that have matured in the Tuscan hills.

Franchetti wines and the group's labels have received ratings and mentions in international publications, as well as high scores in guides for some Franchetti vintages.
