Family-run, the domaine traces a long history dating back to 1686; the estate is now led by Sophie, who represents a family line that values tradition and craftsmanship.

Artisanal craftsmanship and respect for the land: sustainable practices and attention to quality in the vineyard and winery, with an approach aimed at preserving the soil and the expression of each cru.

Located on the right bank of the Loire, around the hill of Saint-Andelain, the estate cultivates vineyards on varied soils — Kimmeridgian marl, clay-limestone and silica/flint — which impart minerality and typicity to its Pouilly-Fumé and Pouilly-sur-Loire wines.

Gemme Océane was selected in the Best in Show Top 50 of the Decanter World Wine Awards 2025 with 97/100; references to other DWWA medals for cuvées such as Gemme de Feu are included in the domaine's materials.
