Winery history Pierluigi Zampaglione

Family-owned estate in Calitri that for generations has cultivated cereals and other agricultural crops. From the 2000s the family planted Fiano vineyards at about 800 metres altitude to enhance this vocation; their best-known wine is "Don Chisciotte". The estate is managed by Pierluigi Zampaglione and has progressively oriented its cultivation toward organic farming.

Production philosophy

Organic cultivation in the vineyard and a cellar approach rooted in natural winemaking: use of indigenous yeasts, skin macerations, very low sulfites and no filtration, with the aim of expressing the terroir and the character of high-altitude Fiano.

Terroir and vineyards

Alta Irpinia, nel comune di Calitri. I vineyards are situated on hilly and high-altitude sites, on poor soils with a volcanic-clayey matrix typical of the Tufiello area.
