Winery history Salon

Conceived by Eugène‑Aimé Salon at the beginning of the 20th century, the wine began as a private production and was made available to the public from the 1920s. Throughout the century the Maison maintained a highly selective release policy: only vintages judged among the best are bottled as Salon, thereby creating a long series of rare and sought-after vintages. At the end of the 20th century the estate was acquired, and the brand is now managed within the group that brings together Salon and its sister house Delamotte.

Production philosophy

The pursuit of essence and purity: bringing out the character of a single vineyard, a single cru and a single grape variety. Production prioritizes rigorous vintage selection and winemaking unchanged over time to enhance finesse, minerality and aging potential.

Terroir and vineyards

The wine comes exclusively from the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil‑sur‑Oger in the Côte des Blancs. The cuvée is assembled from the estate parcel called “Jardin Salon” and from other selected parcels within the same village, all chosen to express the characteristic minerality of the Mesnilois terroirs.
