The Pigato Cycnus DOC from Poggio dei Gorleri winery is a distinctive example of how the Pigato grape variety can express itself beautifully in the Western Ligurian Riviera. This white wine is famous for its intense aromatic profile and a structure that makes it extremely versatile at the table.

Grown in vineyards overlooking the Ligurian Sea, the Pigato benefits from a unique microclimate, where sea breezes meet the rugged topography of the region. These climatic conditions give the wine freshness and pronounced minerality, which are the main features of the Cycnus DOC.

Visually, the wine presents a straw-yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet where notes of ripe fruit such as peach and apricot emerge, along with nuances of aromatic herbs and a light touch of almond, typical of the Pigato grape.

In the mouth, Cycnus surprises with its lively acidity balanced by a refined structure. The sensation of freshness persists in the aftertaste, leaving room for a savory and slightly almondy finish.

Ideal as an aperitif, this Pigato is also an excellent companion for fish dishes, seafood, and Ligurian cuisine, where aromatic herbs and extra virgin olive oil enhance the characteristics of the wine. A label that reflects the high quality and peculiar territoriality of one of Italy's most fascinating wine regions.
