Immerse yourself in the charm of Alto Adige with the Lago di Caldaro Scelto DOC produced by the renowned Kossler winery. This red wine is a distinguished example of Schiava (or Vernatsch), a grape variety typical of this idyllic Italian region, known for its freshness and pleasant drinkability.

The Lago di Caldaro Scelto DOC from Kossler presents a bright, light ruby red color, enticing at first glance. On the nose, it expresses a delicate and surprisingly rich bouquet, where notes of cherries, strawberries, and a slight touch of toasted almonds stand out, intertwining in a complex and pleasantly floral aroma.

On the palate, the wine is light yet structured, with a perfect balance between acidity and soft tannins. The flavor of fresh red fruit dominates, accompanied by a subtle spicy streak and a slightly almondy finish that lingers pleasantly on the palate.

This wine is an authentic expression of the Caldaro terroir, where particular climatic conditions and rich soil lend this Schiava a unique quality. It pairs beautifully with dishes from the Alto Adige cuisine, such as speck dumplings or a simple plate of speck and local cheeses. It is also excellent with roast chicken or mushroom-based dishes.

Ideal for enjoying young, the Lago di Caldaro Scelto DOC from Kossler is an invitation to discover the diversity and richness of Alto Adige wines, offering a tasting experience that is as authentic as it is memorable. Serve slightly chilled to enhance all its qualities.
