The Controguerra Bianco DOC - Lumeggio di Bianco from the renowned Illuminati winery is an expression of rare elegance and purity, originating from the lush hills of Teramo in Abruzzo. This white wine is the result of a skilled selection of Trebbiano and Passerina grapes, which impart extraordinary aromatic complexity and a lively freshness to the wine.

To the eye, it presents a light straw-yellow color with bright reflections that herald its freshness. On the nose, Lumeggio di Bianco offers a delicate and seductive bouquet: floral notes of acacia and chamomile harmoniously blend with hints of ripe white fruit, such as peach and pear, and a slight touch of citrus.

On the palate, the freshness is immediately palpable, balanced by a medium structure and a marked minerality that leads to a pleasantly persistent finish. The well-integrated acidity makes this wine particularly versatile, capable of accompanying a variety of dishes, from fish to light first courses, to fresh cheeses and various appetizers.

Recommended for those seeking a wine that combines tradition and modernity, the Controguerra Bianco DOC - Lumeggio di Bianco by Illuminati is ideal for special occasions or as a sophisticated aperitif. Serve chilled, at a temperature of 8-10°C, to fully enjoy its expressiveness and finesse.

Winery history
The business traces its origins to the Illuminati family and dates back to 1890, when Nicola Illuminati began winemaking on the border between Marche and Abruzzo. Over the generations ownership and management have remained within the family; in the 1960s Dino Illuminati established the headquarters in Controguerra and expanded the vineyards in the historic area known as Zanna. Today the winery remains a family-run enterprise with multiple generations involved.
Production philosophy
Production focused on quality and a connection to the land: artisanal work in the vineyard and cellar, respect for local agricultural practices, and care of the processes from vine to bottle to express the identity of the Colline Teramane.
Terroir and vineyards
Colline Teramane — a hilly area between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea, characterized by temperature variations and windiness that promote balanced ripening of the grapes.
