The Salice Salentino Rosso DOC by Faneros, produced by the Torrevento winery, is a celebration of the elegance and viticultural tradition of Salento. This wine is known for its robustness and rich aromatic profile, capturing the essence of the region's native grape varieties.

The wine presents a deep ruby red color, with hues that evolve into violet with aging. On the nose, Salice Salentino Rosso DOC offers a complex bouquet, dominated by notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, complemented by spicy accents of vanilla and black pepper, attributed to wood aging.

On the palate, one perceives a perfect balance between acidity and well-integrated tannins, which give the wine a solid and persistent structure. The tasting culminates in a long and pleasantly aromatic finish, with a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of licorice and tobacco.

Ideal for pairing with rich and flavorful dishes, the Salice Salentino Rosso DOC by Torrevento is particularly suited to accompany grilled red meats, game-based dishes, and aged cheeses. It is recommended to serve this wine at a temperature of around 18°C to enhance all its qualities.

As an excellent producer, Torrevento is committed to maintaining a high standard of quality, using production methods that respect tradition and the environment, thus ensuring a product that authentically reflects the terroir of this vibrant Italian wine region. The Salice Salentino Rosso DOC is undoubtedly an excellent choice for those who wish to explore the deep and rich flavors of Southern Italian wines.

A varied regional portfolio: Castel del Monte, Primitivo and Salento areas.
Winery history
The company's history begins with the Liantonio family. In the post-war period—after the purchase of the ancient monastery in Contrada Torre del Vento—the company began to develop its production; from the 1990s it achieved commercial recognition and promoted the Nero di Troia grape with flagship labels such as Vigna Pedale. Company and industry sources cite key milestones linked to the return from migration, the 1948 acquisition of the tenuta and the entrepreneurial growth of the following decades.
Production philosophy
It combines tradition and innovation to enhance Puglia's indigenous grape varieties, focusing on sustainable practices in both the vineyard and the winery. The company declares its commitment to environmental, economic and ethical-social sustainability and adopts certifications and standards for quality and food safety.
Terroir and vineyards
Operating in the Alta Murgia at the foot of the UNESCO site Castel del Monte, it sources its grapes from three main areas of Puglia: the Castel del Monte area, the Primitivo/central area and southern Salento.
Awards and recognitions
The winery's labels have been honored with significant awards: Vigna Pedale has received, among others, the Tre Bicchieri award and international medals. The winery has also received a Gambero Rosso award for sustainable viticulture.
