For the production of Marcubel, an IGT red wine from Tenuta Santini, only Sangiovese grapes are used.
The vines are cultivated in the countryside of Coriano, at an altitude of 100 m a.s.l., with the spurred cordon training technique, on clayey soils with south-east exposure. The harvest is carried out towards the beginning of September, the alcoholic fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with aging in the bottle.
You can admire its ruby red color, sometimes with violet reflections. The scent is vinous with a delicate, sometimes floral scent. Definitely harmonious flavor, sometimes even a little tannic.
It goes perfectly with egg pasta, and is perfect with grilled meats and game. Excellent to taste with cold cuts and cold cuts with Romagna piadina.
