In the shadow of the temples of Paestum, from a large native Aglianico vine with a Mediterranean character, "Vetere" is born, a rosé with a very delicate and subtle profile.
This great Campanian vine gives us long-lived and intense reds, but also rosé wines with great elegance and personality.
The wonderful area in which it is produced has medium-textured soils, mainly composed of clay and limestone, characteristics that enhance the qualities of the grapes allowing the production of a rosé with a special character.
After harvesting, the grapes undergo low-temperature maceration for 6 hours, are then softly pressed and remain in contact with the skins for a limited time which will allow only a minimum of color and aromas to be extracted. The must is vinified in white in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, and aged for six months always in stainless steel tanks.
Vetere shows a very soft pink color and offers the nose aromas that bring to mind citrus fruits and hints of aromatic herbs, but also notes of pomegranate, red currant and raspberry, with light and precise floral nuances. In the mouth it is citrusy and sapid, with a fresh taste and a persistent minerality on the finish.
It goes perfectly with appetizers, fresh cheeses, fish tartare, fish in general and shellfish.
