The Turriga by Argiolas is an icon in the Sardinian wine scene, a wine that has helped to define the international reputation of the island’s wines. A renowned producer, Argiolas takes full advantage of Sardinia’s unique terroir, using native grapes that reflect the rich essence of this land.
This formidable Isola dei Nuraghi IGT primarily consists of Cannonau, blended with other local varieties such as Carignano, Bovale Sardo, and Malvasia Nera. This selection of grapes contributes to creating a wine with great structure and complexity. After the harvest, Turriga is aged in barriques for an extended period, which enriches its bouquet and smooths its tannins.
Visually, Turriga presents a nearly impenetrable dark red color. On the nose, it surprises with its intensity and aromatic complexity; notes of ripe red fruits are interwoven with spicy hints of vanilla and licorice, enhanced by a light scent of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is robust and full-bodied, with a well-integrated tannic texture that promises excellent aging potential.
