There is nothing more characteristic of Tuscany’s enological heritage than Chianti Classico, and the Chianti Classico DOCG from La Porta di Vertine exemplifies this tradition at its best. Located in the heart of the Chianti region, in an area known for its calcareous soils and ideal climate for viticulture, this wine is a true example of balance and finesse.

The Chianti Classico DOCG from La Porta di Vertine comes from carefully tended vines, where Sangiovese grapes dominate and are skillfully blended with indigenous varieties like Canaiolo and Colorino, further enriching the wine’s bouquet and structure. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats to preserve the fruity characteristics of the grapes, followed by aging in oak barrels which adds complexity without overshadowing the original aromas.

On the nose, the Chianti Classico DOCG from La Porta di Vertine offers intense aromas of ripe cherry, spices, and a subtle hint of tobacco and leather, a result of the wood aging. The palate is delighted by a robust yet harmonious structure, with well-integrated tannins that promise excellent aging potential. The acidity is finely balanced, leading to a long and pleasantly persistent finish.

Ideal as a companion to typical Tuscan dishes such as bistecca alla fiorentina or pappa al pomodoro, this Chianti Classico is also perfect for enjoying on its own, as a moment of pure pleasure. A wine that carries with it the history and culture of its territory, destined to captivate wine lovers in search of authenticity and quality.
