Winery history
The estate began as the Blengini family's historic residence; the family has been in the area since 1916. Since 2014 Giuseppe Blengini and Roberta Ceretto have developed a project focused on Alta Langa sparkling wines: the first vintage produced for the Monsignore label dates from 2017. Over time the winery has added its own vineyards and leased plots to create more complex blends.
Production philosophy
Enhancing a border region through the production of mountain sparkling wines, focusing on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, implementing agricultural practices agreed with small growers and emphasizing the connection between wine, landscape and art.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Langhe Monregalesi around Vicoforte, at about 600 metres above sea level, the area is characterized by marked diurnal temperature variations, sea breezes and the alpine reliefs providing a scenic backdrop.
