Winery history

Family-run, the Franz Haas winery traces its origins back to 1880 and has been passed down through the Haas family for generations. In recent decades the winery has distinguished itself through experimentation and innovation, while maintaining a strong connection to tradition and local identity.

Production philosophy

A pursuit of quality and precise flavor expression through careful vineyard management, experimentation in the vineyard and cellar, and an almost artistic approach to the labels. The estate aims to convey the character of individual cru and of high-altitude sites, balancing technical knowledge with creative passion.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards of Franz Haas are located in the Alto Adige region, with parcels situated in the municipalities of Montagna, Egna, Trodena and Aldino. Elevations reach up to 1,150 metres, and the soils include variations of porphyry, sand, clay and limestone, contributing to distinct microclimates and characters among the crus.
