The Aglianico DOCG "Mito" from Amato Taurasi winery is a sophisticated and powerful expression of one of the most esteemed grape varieties from southern Italy. Cultivated in the volcanic and mineral-rich soils of the Taurasi region, this wine is famed for its extraordinary longevity and complex structure.

"Mito" presents itself with an intense ruby red color, which tends to garnet as it ages. On the nose, it offers a rich and persistent bouquet, with notes of cherry, plum, and a hint of spices such as black pepper and vanilla, derived from aging in French oak barriques.

On the palate, the wine is robust and well-structured. It highlights a perfect harmony between acidity and tannins, which blend beautifully with flavors of ripe fruit and nuances of tobacco and dark chocolate. The finish is long and seductive, leaving a lingering feeling of fullness and complexity.

Ideal for accompanying rich dishes like braised meats, red meat stews, and game, the Aglianico DOCG "Mito" by Amato Taurasi is also surprisingly harmonious with aged cheeses and mushroom-based dishes. Its power and elegance make it an ideal candidate for long-term aging in the cellar, promising to evolve beautifully over several years.

In summary, "Mito" is a wine that offers an intense tasting experience, reflecting the unique character of the Taurasi terroir and is a testament to the quality and passion that the Amato Taurasi winery dedicates to the production of each bottle.
