Family-run and led by three generations of women Strong focus on Schioppettino with multiple expressions of the variety. Practices focused on sustainability and respect for the land Production of native wines from the Colli Orientali del Friuli, alongside a selection of international wines.
Winery history
Three generations of women have led the winery: the pioneer Giuseppina, her daughter Hilde and her granddaughter Francesca. The family's roots date back to the 19th century; since the 1990s Hilde has relaunched the winery, prioritizing indigenous grape varieties, restructuring the vineyards and adopting cultivation practices aimed at enhancing the terroir.
Production philosophy
Production focused on respect for the land, low-impact practices and wines that express the typical character of the local grapes. The estate states that it focuses on sustainability, spontaneous fermentations and the use of techniques that limit interventions in the vineyard and cellar.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Prepotto, in the Colli Orientali del Friuli subzone. Vineyards face the Valle del Judrio on ponka soils, influenced by Adriatic breezes and significant diurnal temperature variations that promote the aromatic ripening of the grapes.
Awards and recognitions
Recognitions reported in public sources include gold medals at local competitions and mentions and awards in international guides and competitions; the winery's Schioppettino is cited among the wines awarded in specialist guides.
