The Salento Aglianico Rosso PGI "Terra" by Conti Zecca is an authentic and profound expression of the Aglianico grape, magnificently adapted to the rich and sunny terroir of Salento, in the heart of Puglia. Conti Zecca, a winery with a long history and tradition in producing quality wines, leverages the passion and experience accumulated over the centuries to create wines that reflect the essence of their land, combining traditional methods with modern technologies.

Aglianico, known for its robust structure, its rich tannins and its aging potential, finds in Salento an ideal habitat in which to express a softer and more accessible version, without losing the complexity and intensity that characterize this vine. "Terra" is a tribute to the expressive strength of Aglianico, grown on clay and limestone soils which give the wine distinctive mineral notes and a beautiful concentration.

Winemaking involves maceration and fermentation at a controlled temperature to extract colour, aromas and tannins, followed by a period of aging in wood which rounds the wine and adds complexity to its aromatic bouquet. The objective is to produce a wine that, while maintaining the varietal typicality, is pleasantly drinkable even at a young age.

Visually, Salento Aglianico Rosso PGI "Terra" has an intense ruby red color, with purple hues that testify to its youth. On the nose, the wine unfolds a wide range of aromas, with notes of ripe red and black fruits, such as cherries, plums and blackberries, enriched by nuances of spices, chocolate and a light note of vanilla and tobacco resulting from the aging in wood .

In the mouth, "Terra" reveals a balanced structure, with ripe and well-integrated tannins that support its body and richness. The acidity is well present, giving freshness and liveliness to the wine, which develops into a long and persistent finish, with a return of the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose.

Ideal in combination with robust dishes of Apulian and Mediterranean cuisine, such as roast meats, lamb dishes, mature cheeses and dishes rich in flavours, Salento Aglianico Rosso IGP "Terra" by Conti Zecca is a wine that satisfies lovers of wine in search of authenticity, structure and complexity, offering a tasting experience that is a journey through the flavors and aromas of Southern Italy.
