The Salento Negroamaro Rosso PGI "Cantalupi" by Conti Zecca is an authentic expression of the Negroamaro vine, one of the most representative varieties of Puglia, particularly appreciated for its ability to give life to intense and characteristic wines. Produced in the fertile region of Salento, this label reflects Conti Zecca's commitment to enhancing native vines through a combination of tradition and oenological innovation.

"Cantalupi" comes from carefully selected Negroamaro grapes, a vine that ripens perfectly in these sun-kissed lands, developing a rich aromatic profile and a balanced tannic structure. This wine is the result of meticulous attention at every stage of production, from harvest to vinification, to ensure that every sip conveys the true essence of the Salento terroir.

Winemaking takes place with the aim of preserving the natural characteristics of the fruit, enhancing the varietal typicality of Negroamaro. The process includes fermentation at a controlled temperature, which allows us to obtain a wine with great aromatic and gustatory expressiveness, while maintaining freshness and liveliness. "Cantalupi" does not undergo aging in wood, a choice that aims to preserve the purity of the fruit and the accessibility of the wine from the first years of life.

Visually, the wine presents itself with an intense ruby red color, capable of capturing attention from the first glance. On the nose, it offers a complex and inviting bouquet, with predominant notes of ripe red fruit, such as cherries and plums, accompanied by hints of spices and a light herbaceous touch, which adds depth and olfactory interest.

In the mouth, Salento Negroamaro Rosso PGI "Cantalupi" reveals itself to be warm and enveloping, with a good structure balanced by soft tannins and a pleasant acidity that supports its freshness. The finish is persistent, with a pleasant return of the fruity and spicy sensations perceived on the nose.

Perfect to pair with Mediterranean cuisine dishes, especially those based on meat, medium-aged cheeses and preparations rich in flavours, Conti Zecca's "Cantalupi" is a wine that invites conviviality, offering a rich and satisfying tasting experience that it well represents the quality and authenticity of the wines produced in Salento.
