Ricard is a traditional French pastis renowned for its impeccable balance and distinctive licorice flavor. Distilled at 45°, this iconic 70cl spirit stands out with its bright straw-yellow color which, once mixed with water, transforms into a delightful opalescent hue.

The story of Ricard began in 1932 in Marseille, thanks to the intuition and creativity of Paul Ricard, who managed to reinterpret the concept of anise to create a unique and unmistakable liquor. Characterized by the use of high-quality star anise and a carefully selected blend of aromatic herbs and spices, Ricard presents an intensely aromatic fragrance, dominated by notes of licorice and a subtle touch of Mediterranean herbs.

On the palate, Ricard is smooth yet complex, with an enveloping sweetness balanced by a light astringency that enhances its aromaticity. The finish is long and refreshingly pleasant, leaving a persistent sensation of cleanliness on the palate, inviting another sip.

Ideal to serve as an aperitif, it is recommended to dilute Ricard with cold water in a ratio of five parts water to one part Ricard, then adding a few ice cubes. This not only enhances its aromas but makes it extremely refreshing during the hot summer days. Beyond being served pure, Ricard can also be the base for creating inventive cocktails that desire a unique touch of anise flavor.

To best appreciate it, Ricard should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sources of light and heat. Perfect for those who love intense and historic flavors, Ricard remains an excellent choice both for connoisseurs and for those who wish to discover French pastis.
