The Chateau des Laurets Baron Rothschild - Chateau Des Laurets is a prestigious selection produced by the historic Chateau Des Laurets estate, located in the Bordeaux region, in the heart of the Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion appellation. This wine represents the excellence and high quality that the Rothschild family, one of the most influential and respected in the world of wine, is committed to maintaining in all its properties.

The "Baron Rothschild" version of Chateau des Laurets is the expression of careful work in selecting the best vineyard plots and careful vinification, aimed at producing a wine that reflects the unique terroir of this area of Bordeaux and the distinctive elegance of Rothschild wines. Predominantly made from Merlot grapes, with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc, the wine benefits from the climatic conditions and rich and varied soil of Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion, which give the wine remarkable complexity and depth.

After fermentation, the wine is matured in French oak barriques, with a portion of new barrels, for a period that can vary depending on the vintage, but which generally includes several months. This aging process not only enriches the wine with toasted notes, vanilla and sweet spices, but also helps to integrate the tannins and develop a more complex and harmonious structure.

At sight, Chateau des Laurets Baron Rothschild shows an intense and deep ruby red color. On the nose, it offers a rich and complex bouquet, where notes of ripe black fruit emerge, such as plums and blackberries, together with nuances of chocolate, coffee and a light hint of aromatic herbs and tobacco, testifying to the elegant integration between fruit and wood.

In the mouth, the wine is powerful but balanced, with a perfect fusion between aromatic richness and a well-defined tannic structure. The acidity is well balanced, leading to a long and persistent finish, characterized by a pleasant complexity and returns of fruit and spices.

Ideal as an accompaniment to rich and structured dishes, such as red meats, game and mature cheeses, Chateau des Laurets Baron Rothschild is a wine that can be appreciated immediately or left to refine in the cellar for a few years, to discover the evolution of its structure and of its aromas over time.
