The Rosato del Salento IGP "12 e mezzo" produced by the Varvaglione winery is a wine that embodies the lively and sunny spirit of Puglia. This wine is known for its distinctive character and for the elegance that it manages to express starting from the meticulously selected grapes.

The alcohol content of 12.5%, from which the name "12 and a half" derives, indicates a perfect balance between lightness and structure. The vinification takes place with short contacts of the skins to obtain that appreciable pale pink hue, a distinctive sign of the most refined rosés.

On the nose, Rosato del Salento IGP offers a bouquet rich in fruity aromas, where hints of strawberry, pomegranate and a light note of rose emerge. These olfactory sensations intertwine with delicate floral scents that make the olfactory experience complex and pleasantly persistent.

In the mouth, the wine is fresh and harmonious. The acidity is well balanced and is accompanied by a pleasant softness that makes it easy to drink and appreciate. The aftertaste is clean, with a finish that returns to fruity notes and a light freshness that invites another sip.

This Rosato del Salento IGP is ideal as an aperitif, but pairs beautifully with light dishes such as seafood appetizers, delicate cured meats and fresh cheeses. Its versatility also makes it perfect to accompany lightly spiced ethnic dishes.

Serve chilled, between 8 and 10 degrees, to best appreciate its qualities and transport those who taste it into the sunny and welcoming atmosphere of Salento.
