The Salento Negroamaro Rosso PGI "Cantalupi" in 375ml format by Conti Zecca is a true expression of the enological heart of Puglia, where the Negroamaro grape finds its maximum expression. This wine embodies the winemaking tradition of one of the sunniest and most fruitful regions of Italy, exploiting the passion and centuries-old experience of Conti Zecca to produce a red that is at the same time deep, aromatic and incredibly pleasant on the palate.

Negroamaro, literally "bitter black", is known for its ability to produce wines with an intense color, rich in ripe fruit aromas and with a light bitter note that makes them unique and distinctive. "Cantalupi" is a tribute to this vine, grown on the rich and fertile soils of Salento, which benefit from an ideal Mediterranean climate for the ripening of the grapes.

Winemaking is carefully controlled to enhance the varietal characteristics of Negroamaro, with a maceration that allows the extraction of color, aromas and the right amount of tannins, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature that preserves the freshness and intensity of the fruit. The wine does not pass through wood, to keep its varietal expression intact and guarantee immediate drinkability.

At sight, Salento Negroamaro Rosso PGI "Cantalupi" has a deep ruby red color, with purple hues that underline its youth. On the nose, intense aromas of red and black fruits emerge, such as cherries, blackberries and plums, enriched by spicy notes and a light floral touch, which give the wine complexity and depth.

In the mouth, the wine is warm, soft and enveloping, with a balanced structure supported by ripe tannins and good acidity which gives freshness and invites drinking. The finish is pleasantly persistent, with a return of the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose.

Ideal as an accompaniment to robust dishes of Mediterranean cuisine, such as pasta with meat sauce, roasts, grilled meats and mature cheeses, the Salento Negroamaro Rosso PGI "Cantalupi" by Conti Zecca is a wine that offers an authentic and satisfying tasting experience, perfect for those who want to discover the truest and deepest soul of Salento through its wines.
