The Pouilly-Fumé 'Baron de L' from the renowned winery Baron de Ladoucette represents a superb expression of Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire region in France. This distinguished wine is characterized by its brilliant clarity and straw-yellow color with greenish reflections, indicating youthful freshness.

The aromatic bouquet is intense and complex. On the nose, there is an elegant fusion of citrus aromas, such as grapefruit and lime, accompanied by notes of ripe exotic fruits and a distinctive touch of minerality typical of the soils in Pouilly-sur-Loire, rich in limestone and silica. Once in the mouth, the wine displays a refreshing liveliness, balanced by a medium body structure and well-integrated acidity that invites another sip.

The meticulous winemaking process, which includes fermentation at controlled temperatures, aims to preserve the freshness and aromatic profile of the fruit. Aging in stainless steel tanks helps maintain the clean and expressive varietal characteristics of the Sauvignon Blanc.

The Pouilly-Fumé 'Baron de L' pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, ideal for accompanying seafood, grilled fish, or scallops. It is also an excellent companion for fresh goat cheeses or dishes based on aromatic herbs.

This wine not only satisfies the palate but also offers a sensory journey into the traditions and winemaking excellence of the Loire. It is a prestigious addition to any table or wine collection, promising to evolve beautifully if kept in a cellar.

Winery history
The company's roots date back to the Comte Lafond family, who at the end of the 18th century acquired the vineyards of Château du Nozet in Pouilly. The estate is now owned by the de Ladoucette family, and under the leadership of Baron Patrick de Ladoucette it has expanded to include vineyards and labels in the Sancerre area.
