Rosso di Montefalco by Rocca dei Fabbri is a wine that celebrates the richness and variety of the vines of the Umbria region, in particular the Montefalco area, renowned for the production of structured and complex red wines. Rocca dei Fabbri, a winery that places a strong emphasis on quality and territorial expression, produces this Rosso di Montefalco with a combination of Sangiovese and Sagrantino grapes, as well as other local varieties, which contribute to creating a balanced, aromatic wine with a well-defined identity.

Sangiovese, the main grape variety of this blend, is appreciated for its flexibility and ability to elegantly express the characteristics of the terroir, while Sagrantino, a native grape variety from the Montefalco area, adds structure, tannins and a unique aromatic profile, enriching the wine with depth and aging potential.

The vinification of Rocca dei Fabbri's Rosso di Montefalco follows traditional practices, with fermentation at a controlled temperature to preserve the varietal aromas, followed by aging in wooden barrels which helps to harmonize the tannins and add complexity to the aromatic profile of the wine, without overpowering the original freshness and fruitiness.

At sight, Rosso di Montefalco has an intense ruby red color, with purple hues that highlight its vitality. On the nose, it offers a rich bouquet of aromas, with notes of ripe red and black fruits, such as cherries, plums and blackberries, enriched by nuances of spices, aromatic herbs and a light touch of vanilla and tobacco, the result of aging in wood.

In the mouth, the wine is characterized by an excellent structure and a pleasant complexity, with well-integrated tannins that support its drinkability. The lively acidity balances the richness of the fruity and spicy flavors, leading to a long and persistent finish, with a reminiscent of the notes perceived by smell.

Ideal in combination with Umbrian cuisine and meat-based dishes, such as roasts and grills, as well as mature cheeses and dishes rich in mushrooms, Rosso di Montefalco by Rocca dei Fabbri is a wine that invites you to conviviality and discover the food and wine traditions of the 'Umbria, offering a tasting experience that balances intensity, elegance and territorial typicality.
