The Terrasses du Larzac from Mas des Brousses is a wine that excellently represents the typical characteristics of the Languedoc region in France. This label is particularly known for its complexity and aromatic intensity, which reflects the unique terroir from which it originates. The grapes used for this wine are grown on clay and limestone soils, which impart a distinctive minerality and a richness of flavors to the wine.

On the nose, the Terrasses du Larzac offers an intriguing bouquet of ripe red fruits, spices like black pepper, and hints of Mediterranean aromatic herbs. On the palate, the wine presents itself as robust and well-structured, with velvety tannins and a persistent finish that leaves a lasting impression.

The balance between acidity and body makes this wine extremely versatile at the table, capable of accompanying richly flavored dishes such as grilled red meats, game-based dishes, or aged cheeses. Aging in French oak barrels adds notes of vanilla and toastiness that further round out the flavor profile of this excellent wine.

Winery history
The project began when Géraldine Combes and Xavier Peyraud took over the family estate; available historical references online indicate that operations as an independent domaine started under their management in the late 1990s. Since then they have developed production by focusing on the characteristics of the Terrasses du Larzac terroir and on varieties such as Mourvèdre.
Production philosophy
The approach prioritizes manual work in the vineyard and cellar practices aimed at expressing the terroir: hand-harvesting, separate vinifications for each parcel, fermentations with indigenous yeasts, and aging in stainless steel or barrique depending on the cuvée.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located around Puéchabon, in the Gassac valley and on the terraces above the Hérault valley, in the area of the Terrasses du Larzac appellation. The landscape is typical of the Mediterranean garrigue, which influences the wines' aromatic profile.
