The Vermentino IGT Maremma from Tenuta Fertuna is a white wine that celebrates with grace and freshness the Vermentino grape, grown in the sunny and breezy lands of the Tuscan Maremma. This area, with its mild climate and unique soil features, is ideal for producing aromatic and lively white wines. Tenuta Fertuna, located in the heart of this charming region, has masterfully interpreted the Vermentino, creating a wine that reflects the quality and passion of their vine-growing.

The winemaking of the Vermentino IGT Maremma from Tenuta Fertuna focuses on preserving freshness and varietal aromas. The grapes, harvested at the perfect ripeness, undergo gentle pressing, followed by fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. This process helps maintain the integrity of the fruity and floral scents typical of Vermentino, while a short period of aging on fine lees enriches the wine with greater complexity and roundness.

Visually, the wine shows a bright straw-yellow color, immediately inviting tasting. On the nose, the Vermentino IGT Maremma surprises with its rich and inviting bouquet, characterized by notes of fresh fruit, such as peach and citrus, floral hints, and a subtle mineral vein that underlines its elegance and freshness.

On the palate, the wine expresses a lively brightness, supported by well-integrated acidity that gives dynamism to the sip. Flavors of fresh fruit blend with delicate herbal and mineral touches, leading to a long and pleasantly persistent finish, leaving a feeling of cleanliness and freshness.

Ideal as an aperitif or paired with light dishes, seafood starters, first courses based on fish and vegetables, the Vermentino IGT Maremma from Tenuta Fertuna is an excellent choice for those seeking a wine that combines the typical aromaticity and freshness of Vermentino with the richness and complexity that only the land of the Maremma can offer.

Winery history
The modern project of Tenuta Fertuna began in the 1990s with the planting of the vineyards in 1997; the property developed on an estate featuring an early 20th-century villa, renovated and also converted into guest accommodation. Over the years the winery has complemented its wine production with wine tourism and dining activities, integrating business management and sustainability principles.
Production philosophy
It combines respect for local tradition with modern technology: plots are chosen based on soil and grape variety, winemaking is carried out plot by plot with temperature control, and aging in tonneaux/barriques. The estate declares an approach to sustainability and practices aimed at reducing its environmental impact.

Located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, the estate sits on galestro and alberese soils and benefits from a Mediterranean microclimate with a strong maritime influence and a pronounced day–night temperature range.
