The Glen Garioch 2014 is an 8-year-old Scottish single malt from the Highlands, elegantly presented in a 70cl bottle housed within a sophisticated case. This whisky is a fine example from the Glen Garioch distillery, known for producing whisky with a strong and assertive character, thanks also to the exceptionally pure water from local springs and the use of Scottish barley.
Distilled in 2014, Glen Garioch 2014 has aged for 8 years in barrels that impart extraordinary complexity. The result is a robust whisky with a rich texture, showcasing a magnificent integration of fruitiness, malt, and woody notes from aging.
On the nose, it offers intense aromas of ripe fruit, with hints of green apple and a subtle spiciness. As the whisky opens up, notes of vanilla and caramel also emerge, thanks to the influence of oak barrels. On the palate, there are flavors of sweet malt, met with a range of tastes from dried fruit to chocolate, leading up to more earthy and peaty touches, typical of Highlands whiskies.
Glen Garioch 2014 finishes with a long and warming end, where spicy notes blend harmoniously with an aftertaste of nutty fruit and wood.
