Grappa Riserva XO, where the latter means "extra old", is the appellation reserved for the best distillates which, however, have as a requirement an aging of at least six years in wood. This distillate is produced with the best pomace of Piedmont, including Barolo, Barbera, Barbaresco and Nebbiolo carefully selected during the harvest. Once the grapes have been destemmed, they are immediately distilled fresh immediately after harvesting, in copper stills, to ensure that the perfumes and aromas are at their maximum expression. Following an initial stay for a long period in stainless steel tanks, according to the indications of the expert master distillers, the grappa is then left to rest for over 6 years in small French oak tonneaux.

The propensity for innovation and the great passion for the art of aging of the Sibona Distilleria are the cornerstones at the origin of this highly prized cuvèe with unique and sensational characteristics that already conquers the eye with its amber color of medium intensity. On the nose, its fine and elegant vinous scent slowly transforms into a fragrant bouquet where vanilla and red fruit aromas emerge. It enters the mouth with a soft, enveloping and silky flavor that gives a lively and harmonious taste of oak, currant and tobacco very persistent in the finish. 

A distillate as refined as the bottle that contains it, characterized by graduated side notches and the practical pouring spout; all contained in an elegant gift box that includes two splendid tasting glasses. A splendid gift idea certainly appreciated by connoisseurs and grappa lovers.

Excellent to sip in combination with dried fruit and chocolate, but also delicious with aged cheeses; however, it remains a sip capable of giving unique and captivating emotions, to be tasted alone or in the company of a good cigar.
