La Grande Rue Grand Cru, produced by the renowned Domaine Lamarche, is an excellent example of Pinot Noir from Burgundy, France. This wine stands out for its refined elegance and extraordinary complexity. Year after year, Domaine Lamarche manages to express the varietal intensity typical of the terroir of La Grande Rue, a small and prestigious parcel located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits.

The bouquet is rich and enticing, with intense aromas of cherry, wild berries, and a slight spicy note accompanied by a subtle touch of vanilla and damp earth. On the palate, it presents a solid yet velvety structure, highlighting an impeccable balance between acidity, soft tannins, and a persistent length that leaves an impression of elegance and depth.

Perfect for tasting now, La Grande Rue Grand Cru also offers surprising aging potential. Pair it with sophisticated dishes such as beef tenderloin in red wine sauce or roast duck for an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

Region: Bourgogne (Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée)
Country: France
Founded: 1797
Grapes: Pinot Noir, Aligoté, Chardonnay
Monopole of the Grand Cru La Grande Rue. Estates and wines focused on the Côte de Nuits, with parcels in Clos de Vougeot, Échezeaux and Grands-Échezeaux. Historic estate of the Lamarche family, with documented roots in the 18th century and references to a foundation dated 1797. Recently family-run, with Nicole and Nathalie Lamarche involved in production and sales. Progressive adoption of organic and soil-respecting agronomic practices, with careful attention to quality in the vineyard.
Winery history
The estate has been linked to the Lamarche family for generations: its documented presence in the village dates back to the 18th century, and the domaine's formation is often traced to 1797. In the 20th century the family expanded and consolidated its vineyard parcels in Vosne-Romanée and around Clos de Vougeot; a significant part of its recent history is the promotion of the La Grande Rue vineyard from Premier Cru to Grand Cru, officially recognized in the early 1990s.
Production philosophy
Production focused on enhancing the terroir and pursuing finesse rather than sheer power: traditional vineyard practices combined with winemaking choices aimed at emphasising elegance and purity. In recent years the family-run operation has introduced agronomic practices more respectful of the soil, progressively adopting organic / organic-oriented methods.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, in the commune of Vosne-Romanée, the estate owns historic parcels including La Grande Rue, as well as vines in prestigious appellations such as Clos de Vougeot, Échezeaux and Grands-Échezeaux. The vineyards are spread across several lieu-dits in the area.
