The "Bonnes Mares Grand Cru" from Domaine Bart is an exceptional wine in the Burgundy landscape of France, known for its rich history and limited production, which accentuates its exclusivity. This wine comes from one of the most renowned Grand Cru designations within the Chambolle-Musigny appellation, where the unique climatic conditions and terroir bestow the wine with unparalleled characteristics.

The Bonnes Mares Grand Cru presents a deep and intense ruby color, already indicating its structure and concentration at first glance. On the nose, it offers a rich and complex bouquet, intertwining aromas of ripe red fruits like cherry and blackberry, floral notes of violet, and a subtle hint of spices, attributed to its aging in French oak barrels.

On the palate, the wine reveals itself as powerful yet balanced, with well-structured but silky tannins that blend harmoniously with a lively acidity. The aromatic persistence is remarkable, leaving a long trail of sensations reminiscent of red fruits and sweet spices in the aftertaste.

Perfect for pairing with rich dishes such as red meat roasts, game, or aged cheeses, the Bonnes Mares Grand Cru from Domaine Bart is also ideal as the highlight of a tasting evening, where one can appreciate its evolution in the glass over time. Serve at a temperature of around 16-18°C to enhance all its nuances.

This wine represents a privileged choice for collectors and lovers of great Burgundy reds, offering a profound and memorable tasting experience that can evolve and mature splendidly for many years to come.

Domaine Bart – Winery in Borgogna - Côte de Nuits (Marsannay-la-Côte)

Discover the story and wines of Domaine Bart.

Family-owned winery based in Marsannay-la-Côte (Côte de Nuits, Burgundy), known for a large production of Pinot Noir across several Marsannay parcels and for also owning vineyards in Fixin and Santenay, as well as small Grand Cru parcels (Bonnes-Mares, Chambertin-Clos-de-Bèze).
Region: Borgogna - Côte de Nuits (Marsannay-la-Côte)
Country: Francia
Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Aligoté
A family-run estate that has been operating in Marsannay-la-Côte for several generations. Approximately 22 hectares of vineyard, heavily concentrated in Marsannay. Strong focus on Pinot Noir; white vineyards are predominantly Chardonnay and Aligoté. Also owns parcels in Fixin and Santenay, as well as small holdings in Grand Cru. Hand harvesting and agricultural practices described as sustainable/integrated.
Winery history
The domaine has been managed by several generations of the Bart family. The estate expanded in the 1980s thanks to an inheritance resulting from the division of the former Domaine Clair-Daü; Martin and Odile Bart have led the estate since the 1980s, and Pierre Bart represents the youngest generation involved in winemaking. Over time the holdings have grown to include numerous parcels in Marsannay and some vineyards in neighboring appellations and Grand Cru sites.
Production philosophy
Production focused on expressing the terroir: manual work in the vineyard, limited intervention in the cellar and sustainable/integrated cultivation practices are frequently mentioned in estate descriptions. The approach prioritises varietal purity and the representation of the individual lieux-dits of Marsannay.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Marsannay-la-Côte, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, the vineyard holdings consist mainly of parcels in Marsannay, along with plots in Fixin and Santenay and small holdings in the Grand Crus Bonnes-Mares and Chambertin-Clos-de-Bèze. Among the lieux-dits mentioned in the sources are Les Finottes, Les Ouzeloy, Les Longeroies, Les Champs Salomon, Les Clos du Roy, Es Chezots and Les Favières.
