The Salento Chardonnay Bianco PGI "Cantalupi" by Conti Zecca is a wine that captures the sunny essence and richness of the Apulian territory, offering an elegant and nuanced version of one of the most cultivated and appreciated white grape varieties in the world. Conti Zecca, thanks to a winemaking tradition that has been handed down for five centuries in the Salento region, has been able to interpret Chardonnay in a local key, enhancing the peculiarities of the terroir and the aromatic intensity that the Mediterranean climate gives to the grapes.

The "Cantalupi" Salento Chardonnay Bianco PGI comes from carefully selected vineyards, where the calcareous and clayey soil, combined with the warm and ventilated climate, favors optimal ripening of the grapes, ensuring a good concentration of aromas and a balance between acidity and structure. Winemaking is conducted with the aim of preserving the integrity of the fruit and varietal expression, through the use of modern techniques and careful temperature control.

The result is a wine that has a brilliant straw yellow color, with greenish reflections that anticipate its freshness. On the nose, the "Cantalupi" Chardonnay offers an intense and complex bouquet, with notes of white pulp fruit such as apple and pear, enriched by nuances of peach, citrus and a light floral touch. There is no shortage of vanilla and almond accents, which testify to a brief maturation in wood, used skilfully to add complexity without overpowering the freshness of the wine.

In the mouth, the wine surprises with its fullness and roundness, while maintaining a lively acidity which enhances its drinkability. Fresh fruit flavors blend with mineral notes and a light creaminess, leading to a long and pleasantly persistent finish.

Ideal as an aperitif or paired with fish dishes, seafood, light appetizers and fresh cheeses, the Salento Chardonnay Bianco PGI "Cantalupi" by Conti Zecca is a refined choice for those who wish to explore the richness and variety of the Apulian wine scene, enjoying a white wine of great expressiveness and pleasantness.
