Chateau La Louviere Blanc represents excellence in the production of white wines in the Bordeaux region, more precisely in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, known for its high quality white wines. Produced by the historic Chateau La Louviere estate, this wine stands out for its elegance, complexity and aging capacity, the result of the unique combination of terroir, varietals and oenological knowledge.

Chateau La Louviere Blanc is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, two varietals that find the ideal environment in the climatic conditions and soil of Pessac-Léognan to best express their characteristics. The winemaking takes place with particular attention to the preservation of the primary aromas of the vines, while the aging in French oak barriques contributes to enriching the wine with complex and layered notes.

At sight, the wine has a bright straw yellow color, with greenish reflections which testify to its freshness. On the nose, Chateau La Louviere Blanc offers a rich and seductive bouquet, with notes of white pulp fruit such as pear and melon, citrus accents, floral touches and a delicate minerality, followed by nuances of vanilla and toasting due to the wooden elevation.

In the mouth, the wine reveals a balanced structure, with a fresh and lively entry, supported by excellent acidity which prolongs its persistence. The fruity flavors intertwine harmoniously with the woody and creamy notes, leading to a long and complex finish, which leaves a pleasant sensation of cleanliness and freshness.

Ideal as an aperitif or paired with fish, seafood, poultry and goat's cheese dishes, Chateau La Louviere Blanc is also a perfect companion for more elaborate and tasty dishes, demonstrating extraordinary gastronomic versatility.

Historic estate with vineyards for both white and red wines in Pessac-Léognan Part of the Vignobles Famille André Lurton Château building dating from the late 18th century and listed among the Historic Monuments. Partially underground cellar opened in 2009. Vineyards with deep, gravelly soils for the red wines and varied soils for the white wines.
Winery history
The earliest records of the estate date back to 1310. The property developed between the 16th and 17th centuries and later passed into the hands of various owners. The current building dates from the late 18th century. After a period of decline in the 20th century, Château La Louvière was purchased by André Lurton in 1965, leading to a revival of its winemaking activity; the property was listed in the Inventory of Historic Monuments and classified in 1991. In 2009 a new partially underground cellar dedicated to the aging of red wines was opened.
Production philosophy
It combines respect for traditional practices with openness to winemaking innovation, aiming to express the terroir of Léognan through clean, elegant wines. The estate emphasizes hospitality and the promotion of wine culture.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the commune of Léognan, in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the vineyard rests on deep gravelly soils for the parcels planted with red varieties and on more varied soils for the parcels dedicated to whites. Its proximity to Bordeaux and the range of soil types favour both dry whites and structured reds.
