The Black of Excellence, sometimes very black, the Stout, in addition to being one of my favorite beers, is also one of the most complex. Barley and roasted malt prevail over hops, it is moderately bitter, sometimes acidic due to the roasted grains. It has the aromas of coffee, cocoa, licorice and has a full and creamy body. Some sub-styles: Sweet Stout, Milk Stout, Oyster Stout, Chocolate Stout, Imperial Stout, Oatmeal Stout. Alcohol content: 4-7% but for Imperial Stouts from 7% up.
