The Salento Rosso PGI "Nero" in Jeroboam format by Conti Zecca is a true celebration of the Apulian territory, presented in an impressive bottle that symbolizes the generosity and intensity of the wines of this sunny land. This wine best expresses the qualities of the Negroamaro grape, enriched by the oenological mastery of Conti Zecca, a winery that for generations has been able to combine the rich winemaking heritage of Salento with innovative techniques, to produce wines of excellent quality.

The Jeroboam format, equivalent to four standard bottles, not only makes "Nero" an ideal option for special occasions and large celebrations, but also contributes to a slower and more gradual aging of the wine, allowing the aromas and flavors to evolve overall in a more harmonious manner over time.

Produced exclusively with selected Negroamaro grapes, a vine that in the hot and windy climate of Salento reaches expressions of notable aromatic and gustatory concentration, the "Nero" Jeroboam goes through careful vinification. This process involves prolonged maceration to extract maximum colours, aromas and tannins, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature. Part of the wine is aged in oak barriques, where it acquires further notes of complexity, while another part remains in steel, to maintain the freshness and purity of the fruit.

Visually, the wine is striking for its deep ruby red color, with violet reflections that announce its liveliness. On the nose, the "Nero" Jeroboam offers an intense profusion of aromas, dominated by notes of ripe red and black fruit, such as blackberries and plums, enriched by spicy, balsamic accents and a light vanilla, the result of aging in wood.

In the mouth, the wine is extremely rich and enveloping, with a well-integrated tannic structure and balanced acidity which guarantees its drinkability. The gustatory complexity faithfully follows the olfactory profile, with a long persistence that ends on spicy and fruity notes.

Ideal to accompany structured and savory dishes of Mediterranean cuisine, in particular those based on red meat, game and mature cheeses, the Salento Rosso PGI "Nero" Jeroboam by Conti Zecca is a perfect option for those who want to share the pleasure of a wine rich and intensely aromatic with friends and family, celebrating together the roots and winemaking tradition of Salento.
