The Salento Malvasia Bianca PGI "Calavento" by Conti Zecca is an exciting example of how the Malvasia grape can best express itself in the rich and sunny terroir of Salento, in the heart of Puglia. This region, known for its Mediterranean climate and fertile soils, is ideal for the cultivation of aromatic varieties such as Malvasia, which in this context develops an intense and distinctive olfactory profile. Conti Zecca, with a deep-rooted winemaking tradition and a passion for innovation, produces "Calavento" with the aim of offering a wine that is both a faithful expression of its terroir and an emblem of quality and elegance.

"Calavento" is made exclusively with Malvasia Bianca grapes, harvested at the optimal moment of ripeness to guarantee a perfect balance between acidity and sugars. This allows us to obtain a wine that enhances the freshness and varietal aromas typical of Malvasia, with particular attention to the preservation of the floral and fruity notes that characterize this vine.

The vinification of "Calavento" involves fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, a choice aimed at preserving the aromatic integrity and liveliness of the wine. This process helps maintain the fresh and aromatic characteristics of the wine, making it particularly pleasant and drinkable.

Visually, the wine has a light straw yellow color, with greenish reflections that anticipate its freshness. On the nose, "Calavento" offers a rich and inviting bouquet, with a prevalence of floral and fruity notes, among which the aromas of white peach, apricot and citrus notes stand out, enriched by nuances of aromatic herbs that add complexity.

In the mouth, the wine is balanced and harmonious, with a lively acidity that enhances its freshness and supports a palate rich in flavors corresponding to the olfactory sensations. The finish is clean and persistent, with a pleasant mineral note that invites another sip.

Ideal as an aperitif or in combination with light appetizers, fish and seafood dishes, fresh salads or as an accompaniment to ethnic cuisine dishes, the Salento Malvasia Bianca PGI "Calavento" by Conti Zecca is a wine that enchants for its freshness and its aromatic profile, offering a tasting experience that celebrates the richness and diversity of the Apulian wine heritage.
