The Etna Rosato by Tenute Mannino is an expressive and captivating rosé wine hailing from the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. This wine is particularly renowned for its bright rosé color, with reflections ranging from coral to blush pink. Produced mainly with Nerello Mascalese grapes, a native variety of the region, the wine offers an aromatic bouquet that delicately combines notes of strawberry, cherry, and a slight nuance of rose and geranium. On the palate, the Etna Rosato is fresh and well-balanced, with a lively acidity that harmoniously marries with its unique minerality, courtesy of the volcanic soils that nourish the vines.

Ideal as an aperitif, this rosé pairs splendidly with light appetizers, fish dishes, and is perfect with a selection of fresh cheeses. Its freshness also makes it an excellent companion for summer evenings outdoors, ensuring a pleasant and refreshing sip.

Winery history
The Mannino family has been active in the Etna area for generations: their entrepreneurial roots trace back to Baron Franz Mannino, a key figure in the export of wine and citrus since the 19th century. In the 1990s Giuseppe Mannino relaunched wine production, and today leadership rests with Giorgio, representing the sixth generation. The winery has solidified its local production, agritourism activities and its presence in domestic and international markets.
Production philosophy
Develop wines that express the volcanic terroir of Etna through freshness and minerality, distinguish the wines from the different slopes, and integrate modern winemaking practices with hospitality experiences and typical agricultural products.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on Etna’s north and south slopes: on the southern slope white varieties such as Carricante and Catarratto predominate; on the northern slope vineyards planted with Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio are found. The estate manages several properties including Tenuta del Gelso, Pietra Marina and Le Sciarelle.
