Thanks to an intuition of Giuseppe Cappellano, a pharmacist from Serralunga d'Alba, this excellent aromatised wine was born in the second half of the 19th century, once considered a valid remedy for fighting colds and seasonal ailments.
At sight it shows an amber color with ruby reflections. The olfactory profile is intense, reminiscent of the aromas of a vintage Barolo to which are added clear hints of licorice, rhubarb and notes of aromatic herbs such as marjoram and coriander. The sip is warm and soft, a long-lasting bitter taste.
It is recommended to savour it in combination with spoon desserts, also try the combination with dark chocolate.
